Human Guinea Pig!
Question
I am a 28 yo woman who has never had a “normal” cycle. I have throughout my life been on every bc pill available until 1999. In November 1999, I had a mri and ct scan for prolactinoma. Much to my OB’s surprise there was no tumor although my levels were so high. I was on bromocryptine for a some months and the levels came down dramatically. Since then we made a decision to try to conceive-no luck. It has been a horrible experience. Four years of: No cycles – approximately 15 in 4 years, pg test every month, charting, scheduling lm, semen analysis, provera 10mg? 1st-10th, and now prometrium 200mg 1st-11th. I feel like a human guinea pig, but to a degree I feel that my ob is “handling” me. I ask questions. I use the Internet to try to read about how others experiences have turned out, but I am becoming something I never thought I would –obsessed, I think or maybe depressed?
