12 negative pregnancy tests
Question
Hi! I have a very irregular cycle and periods are very erratic. I’ve missed my last two periods. I’ve done over 12 urine tests and all have a negative outcome. I’ve had two prior abortions and am very paranoid that I may be pregnant, so i do urine tests regularly. I also am a little stressed out about certain issues. I hate doctors and don’t want to go and get an ultrasound, as my boyfriend suggests. Could I be pregnant? Is there any way of finding out without going to a doc?

I wonder if you have had any major stress. Stress can cause cycles to be longer than normal. I understand that you don’t like going to the Doctor but, I would highly recommend you call your MD and request a blood test to determine if you are pregnant. Please tell the Physician about your prior history of abortions.
If I were in your shoes, I would take the proper care for pregnancy. I would not take any medications, drugs, acohol, smoke or do strenuous exercise. I would start taking a supplement of folic acid or prenatal vitamins just in case I was pregnant. You know the saying, “better be safe than sorry”.
