My husband had a vasectomy eight years ago, however, last month I had a very light period that only last for two days. I have been having symptoms of pregnancy (nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness, etc) so I took a  home pregnancy test and it came back negative. Is it even possible for me to be pregnant even though my husband has been fixed for all of these years????

Pregnancy following vasectomy is pretty rare. One English clinic reported an incidence of 9 pregnancies out of 30,000 vasectomies in the journal Lancet (2000).
If you would like to see if sperm are present the most accurate test is to have intercourse with a special medical collection condom in place. Remove the seminal fluid containing condom immediately, apply the twist tie, and turn it into your laboratory for examination. It is best to notify the lab several days ahead of time that you are bringing this specimen in so that they may anticipate its arrival for immediate microscopic examination.
