I had a miscarriage five months ago. I have been trying to conceive since. My periods have been 25 jan, 26 feb, 15 march, and my ovulation was 27 / 29 March. Â What are the chances of me being pregnant? My period is due 16 april. I am also breast feeding a toddler. I never take any precautions.

Had miscarriage, breastfeeding, could I be pregnant?

Without more information all I can tell is that your cycles may or may not be fertile. The previous pregnancy indicates that you have ovulated but conditions may not have been adequate. Nursing also tends to lower estrogen levels and in some cycles to the point where ovulation may not occur. The key to recognizing a fertile cycle is the cervical mucus development and the luteal phase length. If you determined your ovulation by observing a good cervical mucus build-up ending in a slippery sensation then the cycle starting 15 March was fertile. Intercourse during this fertile phase would make chances of pregnancy very good. In light of your previous miscarriage and breastfeeding it would be prudent to see your doctor to check that your hormone levels are good. Careful charting of your vulval sensation and cervical mucus will allow you to notice when you return to fertile cycles even when breastfeeding!
