Well, I have been having irregular periods since I was 15 and have had 3 miscarriages. I am 21 and I have been going through this not having a period for two months or three and when it comes on being very sick with cramps and bleeding for 2 months straight. I am trying to conceive but is it possible to cc if I am not having a period?

Kay,
It is possible to conceive if an ovum (egg) has matured and ovulation (ovary releases the egg) has occurred. This process requires a rise in hormone levels and takes some days. Things like stress, illness, and environmental changes may interfere with this and cause a prolonged cycle similar to what you describe as irregular periods. Finding the underlying cause of this would be wise. Please do not misunderstand, sometimes irregular cycles are normal, but the bleeding pattern you describe is not normal.
Making observations according to the Billings Ovulation Method will be useful for determining when you are closest to ovulation (peak of fertility), even if it only happens rarely. You do ovulate, as is evident by your past miscarriages. It is possible that hormonal support for the pregnancy may be inadequate and you may need some assistance in the form of medical supplementation. You may want to talk to your physician and ask for a check of thyroid function, blood glucose, estrogen and progesterone levels. This may give an explanation for your symptoms.
The results of these and understanding your menstrual cycles is the key to managing your fertility and possibly eliminating your discomfort as well. Please do not hesitate to find a teacher that will be happy to share the knowledge that makes a big difference in life!
