I had a miscarriage about 3 months ago. I am now pregnant again. I read somewhere that women who don’t have morning sickness are most likely to miscarry. Is that true? I am so scared I have no symptoms except for a little sore breast and upset stomach. My first pregnancy I had no morning sickness but I was tired all the time and very sore breasts now I don’t feel very tired or have any symptoms just upset stomach and a little gas here and there. Is there something wrong? Please help I don’t want to lose this baby…

Pregnancy after Miscarriage

It is understandable that you would be concerned about your pregnancy following a miscarriage. There is no medical documentation that proves that women who have morning sickness are more or less likely to miscarry. Each women and each pregnancy can be different with regard to symptoms of pregnancy.
I would strongly suggest that you get into early prenatal care, and that you request to have a progesterone level test. This is the hormone that is necessary for maintaining pregnancy. If the level is low, progesterone therapy can be initiated. Also some communities have a support group or program that will help you cope with concerns following a miscarriage. You may want to ask your doctor or your local hospital for a referral.
