Two Miscarriages
Question
Hi. I started trying to conceive about a year ago and the first success quickly ended in a miscarriage at seven weeks. My husband and I continued trying. Friday I took a pregnancy test on the first day of my missed period and it was positive. Monday I came home from work and had started bleeding. I then went to my doctor and had blood drawn. I am not sure if I had a miscarriage or if my hormones are just messed up or what. I didn’t have a D&C the first time and my doctor seems very laid back about the whole thing. I mean this is my life, my marriage and my family! I don’t know if I should trying seeing a different doctor or if this is the way this goes. I just feel like I need someone to guide me in the right direction. Can you help me? Jessica

You definitely need a doctor who is going to take your concerns seriously and if you need a recommendation check this website for a Natural Family Planning Medical Consultant in your area. You need to find out why you’ve had these two miscarriages and then have any problems corrected.
Also become knowledgeable of your reproductive health. Learn how to maintain and evaluate it yourself. I would recommend learning Natural Family Planning from a NFP teacher in your area who can give you the information you and your husband need to have a successful pregnancy.
