Sharing the Good News of NFP in the San Francisco Region by Finola Glassmoyer

inline_193_ 2021 Together in Holiness Conference held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Belmont was a joyful, uplifting experience. The day was spent listening to very gifted devout Catholic speakers whose message focused on the importance of the domestic church, raising awareness that good Catholic families are a witness to Christian life without even knowing it sometimes. One of the dynamic speakers, Damon Owens, reminded couples that marriage is about putting God first, then your spouse and then your children. He offered practical tips on how to do this, including going together to monthly Confession as a couple. Brother priests Fr. Cameron Faller and Fr. Kyle Faller gave powerful testimonies of how praying theinline_690_ family rosary growing up showered grace upon their lives as Catholics. Fr. Cameron stated that you don’t have to live in a perfect family but God can do great things with little sacrifices.

There was ample opportunity for prayer and reflection during the day: Mass was said by Archbishop Cordileone; adoration of the Blessed Sacrament; Confession and time for fellowship.

It was a pleasure to have been invited to spend the day with Sheila St John, representing CANFP as one of the vendors. Brochures were handed out promoting the message of Natural Family Planning. Some brochures were taken to pass along to family or friends.

I was reminded how NFP is of paramount importance in Catholic marriages. Putting God first in one’s marriage requires keeping artificial means of contraception out of one’s marriage. Thank you Sheila for inviting me to assist at this grace-filled conference. It brought me much peace.
