Cyst on ovary and pregnancy

Hi, my name is Denise. I am 29 and I have one ovary (the right) and have just been diagnosed with a 6cm. cyst. I have two children already and would like a third. My question is, is it safe to become pregnant with a cyst on the ovary? Or will it lead to complications later in the pregnancy?

An ovarian mass can sometimes be cancer, which is life-threatening for both the mother and child. However, if a cyst has been diagnosed as benign, then a pregnancy is not harmed in any way by a cyst on an ovary. In fact, the cyst will likely disappear.
