Light Bleeding with Ovulation
Question
I am 31 years old and in the past have had ovulation bleeding from time to time. My doctor advised me that it was my ovaries and that my cycle would return to normal within two periods.
We are now trying to get pregnant with our third child and again I have had the same light bleeding lasting around three days about the same time I should have been ovulating. Can I still get pregnant during this kind of abnormal cycle?

Dear Amy,
Some spotting during ovulation happens to quite a few women. Sometimes this is caused because of the rise of estrogen which causes some of your uterine lining to slough off. This does not mean you are infertile at that time and you can still become pregnant if you are using fertile days for intercourse.
