Abdominal pain, brown bleeding

Abdominal pain and brown bleeding is a concern, and needs to be evaluated by your doctor. It may be something simple, such as menstrual cramps with a menstrual abnormality related to a temporary stressor. However, it may be something that requires treatment. Pelvic infections can present with brown bleeding and abdominal pain. Hormonal abnormalities, such as low progesterone, or thyroid disease can also present this way. Although much more rare, some cancers can present this way as well, so keeping up to date on your Pap smears is important. Pregnancy can also cause these symptoms.
