Brown Post Menstrual Bleeding
Question
Hi. After having my twins three and a half years ago, I have had some female changes. My periods are every 28 days. But they last a full week and are followed with four or five days of a brown menstrual flow.
That is almost two weeks of a menstrual cycle. It is frustrating! I have asked my OB/GYN about it every year at my yearly. The first time he said it could be old blood from my c-section. My girls will be four in December and this still happens EVERY month. Why is this happening? Plus, I wake up every night with hot sweats. I am assuming my hormones are still completely whacked since having my girls. Is this normal?

Your menstrual cycles do not appear to be normal. It is possible you might have low progesterone levels after ovulation. The best way to find out is by doing a hormonal analysis after learning how to chart using the Creighton Model. I would recommend contacting a Certified Practitioner who can help you get started and possible refer you to a Medical Consultant. Other things to consider include a possible thyroid problem.
