The CANFP Executive Board met for an all day meeting in Carpinteria, CA, Sept. 25, 2021, to reflect on the year soon ending, and chart the path forward for the coming year(s). In addition to exercising board responsibilities on important funding/financial considerations, there was a strong emphasis on how to expand CANFP to even more successfully support NFP throughout California. Recent input of some priests of the ADLA informed deliberations, on how to more effectively engage and serve clergy, so that NFP is more visible and accessible in parish life. As we prepare to enter our 30th year of educating and advocating for NFP, we are seeking to recruit several additional board members, with the professional skills and experience to guide CANFP through the increasing cultural, legal, financial, and technical challenges to be navigated in the coming years. While excellent candidates from anywhere in California would be considered, we are particularly interested in nominations from the regions currently lacking representation on our boards: Santa Rosa, Orange, Stockton, and San Bernardino.
