I’ve been trying to concieve through ovulation timing for a few months now. I had my progesterone checked after this month’s ovulation. The dr. was pleased that it was 17.5, indicating pregnancy. I have a 31 day cycle and today is day 31. I tested with a urine test and got a negative result! Did the 17.5 progesterone truly indiciate pregnancy, or was it a rash conclusion? What else could it indicate?

Does My Progesterone Level Indicate Pregnancy?

That level of progesterone would confirm that you ovulated but not necessarily that you conceived. I would wait another week and if you have not had a period do urine or serum (blood) pregnancy test. If it turns out you are not pregnant, I would recommend one of the modern methods of natural family planning to be your guide with “fertility-focused” intercourse.
