Vasectomy reversal for low income couple

I have a friend who wants to get a reversal. He and his wife want to have children. They are very low income. Do you have any advice as to how they can get the procedure done at a minimal cost? Thank you and God bless!

The reality of the situation is this: I am not aware of anyone who has set up a Catholic medical clinic specifically for the treatment of infertility in men and women that would include all of what Dr. Hilgers does (NaProTechnology) plus vasovasostomy and the treatment of male infertility (my dream). If one such clinic existed I am sure there would be a way to do some charity care. However, the reality is that the procedure is a 2-2 ½ hour surgery that requires an operating room, anesthesiologist, nurse assistant, expensive microscope, and expensive little sutures. It is not an insignificant undertaking, and I do not know of anyone getting the price down much below $3000. And to be perfectly frank: Look at what it costs to raise a child! The vasovasostomy fee is a drop in the bucket compared to that. A skeptic might question the motivation of a couple—or the counseling they received in the first place—if their economic situation is such that they can not even afford to even save enough money for the procedure.
