Pregnant and Concerned About Progesterone Levels

My wife and I are having our first baby. We got our first blood test and it came back that her beta levels were fine but her progesterone was a 12. She is about seven weeks into the pregnancy and we are just wondering how concerned we need to be about this.

Your concern is appropriate. Your wife’s progesterone level should be around 25 in the baby’s 7th week of gestation. Twelve is low.
